What we are trying to accomplish here at our Kennel.

Here is a little bit about our different breed of hounds.

Here at Dalton's Bluetick & English Kennels  not only we are trying to have some of the best track & tree dogs around but we are not color blind by no means.  The reason my kennel goes by Bluetick & English is because they were the first two type dogs we own that being me and my son Aaron.  We have owned Redbones, Black & Tans and now we have two Treeing Walkers but never have had any Plotts here.  Don't mean we won't but never have had any here.  We like a hound to run track so we can know where he or she is so we are not pulling out a tracking unit if it is on one of those very cold tracks.  We like a real intense tree dog one that is not mean but don't move either.  We also so like more than anything a non-trashy hound and a very accurate one.  No walking to, too many slick trees that is for sure.  We also like a well balanced hound one we can show or hunt  mostly both  and have good sense about them.  Crazy dogs drives me crazier than I am.  LOL!!!!!!!!  Please check out the rest of the site I hope you enjoy it.

The History or Story Behind My Site

Well here goes.  The only reason I ever got into coon hunting was for my son Aaron.  He had a buddy who coon hunted that he went to school with.  Well I had, had dogs in my early years so I so go for it.  Well the first coonhound we had was a English Dog named Blue Ice.   Below is a pic of ICE she is all coon dog going on 7 yrs old now but still can get it done.  We got another English Dog from a man up in Lawsonville NC by the name of Harold Collins.  Harold sold us a Blue English Male that we later named Daltons Fathead Coonsmoker Ace.  Who Perry Hudspeth is half owner with us now on him in Rock Hill SC.  Fathead is NiteCh with one win towards Grand.  We later on got our Bluetick Max from Ricky Cates.  He was 13months and doing it in style.  We have hunted him all over the country and won a lot with Max.  Max is Dual Grand now and can still get it done.  I have a Walker Male now I am pushing in the hunts and have him qualified for the 2007 World Hunt.  His name is Lonetree Subzero.  Zero is a fine hound with looks to go with it.  Me and Tashia Cobbler own him together and I thank Darren Cobbler for giving me the chance to own Zero.  Ricky Cates is hunting a Walker Female me and Perry are halves on and she is a ball of fire.  We have high hopes for June.  Got a couple young dogs one is Spook he is a English male off Fathead and Ice and Maxine who is off Max.  Hope to get them to doing good this year.
